In this section of my front room on top of my book cases sits my memorial to those we've lost... The sand stone angel is from Shands hospital from when my mom was in the hospital there for a month not knowing if she would make it home I fell in love with it and my grandmother bought it for me for my birthday. Luckily my mother against all odds came home on my birthday. The flag was my father's and when he passed since I was the oldest I was given the honour of having it.... I was part of his passing or spreading so I went to the beach and grabbed a jar of sand from the beach he was spread at and put his picture on the jar in front of his flag. My friend Shannon took the wonderful butterfly picture for me as a reminder of my friend Shawna who passed way too early and loved butterfly's...we're all convinced her spirit grew wings. Then we have the rose still in the process of drying out and the black arm band over the frame and the egg in memory of my husbands grandfather who was the newest to add to this shelf. The person themselves may go but their spirit lives on in all of us!

Something old...something new.... it's all mine!
This is my collection of old things passed down to me from my great grandmother and my grandmother and even my mother...there are things in here made from my daughter at school and even things I've made.....It's basically generations of things among these two shelves. It's my shrine to things I collect and find interesting. This area represents so much about me. It's mine...all mine......this little piece of wall in the house is all mine!
One's don't know what to do with is anothers found treasure
My old room mate called and said that she had come across some boxes and found one full of candle holders that she knew weren't hers. So when I was over there we went through it and there was a candle holder or something and she said she didn't even know what to do with it....it wasn't mine but I quick to tell her I'd take it off her hands.... I love it!
My new calendar
Too many projects too little space and time
I'm supposed to be making mass production of rag dolls right now so that my friend can "pimp" me out to local stores. I'm also working on a friends wedding album and honeymoon album and then there is the random stuff I want to do to post on my Etsy store. Well my loving family wants me to do crafts in the living room where I can sit and be with them instead of locked up in my craft room. So currently my rag dolls are being situated in a decorative suitcase at the side of the couch....about 10 dolls are all cut out waiting to be made...then I have my bag of album stuff and the table that I cannot see currently that I was making my headbands and magnets and such. So aside from having an amazing craft room (that is currently going under reorganization) this is where I'm doing crafts if not on the kitchen counter or couch.... UGH! I can't argue with my family wanting me to be around though so I'll make due.

My work in progress
For my birthday I asked for unique frames.... didn't matter the color because I would paint them all black... just wanted to start a collage of "scenery" pictures I had taken....minus the bloody tears girl....can't take her out....she just fits.... The Lost boys will be taken out (even though I think it looks cool) I have another pic I'm putting there just haven't blown it up to poster size yet and I was tired of the frame being empty.... My goal is to have the whole wall full of my pictures....
My voodoo doll babies
I had a friend task me with making 50 voodoo doll kits for a party she was having. Many nights on the couch surrounded by yarn, felt, buttons, stuffing and thread galore..... These became my little voodoo children, started to attempt names but they all became Frank in the end. These were dolls used for good not evil.... none of that going on here! ;p
The "Ellee" ragdoll
These are the two latest one's I've made however the one in the green dress just found a home at one of Ellie's friends house's. The little girls love them.... something makes them special knowing they are the only girl in the world with that one doll...each one is totally different then the next. Julian thinks I need to find a faster way to make them on my machine but I disagree. I think the fact that I make them 100% by hand gives them the look of being handmade and makes them even more special...I feel like Im adding a little personality into each one when I make them.
Gun range wall art
My husband took me to the gun range for my birthday, I've never shot a gun before.... well not doing too shabby I decided to keep the targets and use them as hallway art... at least this way I guess if someone breaks in they can see where they may get shot... ;p Totally free art... thought it made a good conversation piece and not something you usually see in someone's house.
