Updated Pictures from the Tea party

Still have some work with the fondant, I did the best I could lol!

Then there was the table. I made all the centerpieces (which are in older posts) each teacup held a craft for the girls and then had little bowls of snacks filled all along the table.

So once the "drink me" necklaces were complete I hung them from the tree outside and in the back ground is the $2 ugly brown clock I bought and repainted.

I bought an old white sheet for $1 at the thrift store and painted it black and the white was glow in the dark paint. I made red and black heart pieces from clay bake and we had a checkers table!

I bought the croquet set but found a pattern online for the flamingo's and made those and hot glued them on.... trying to stick with all the details I could

Found this chair on the side of the road and thought it had potential to be something great once I ripped the old fabric and padding out. It was a perfect "Birthday chair"!

Ellie's Mad hatter hat. I bought all these items for $1 and made it glow in the dark.

Retro Ladies Frame

Decoupaged all these clippings from this awesome water damaged book I bought for 50 cents. I saved what pages I could and made art out of them. Then I lined the edges with "fortunes"

With the help of my daughter

My daughter so badly wanted to help with her party planning and decorating. How I could I not let her. So I let her do the directional wood signs and then draw pictures to hang up. She was thrilled to be able to help and I think it adds a personal touch to the party.

Alice In Wonderland decoupage frame

So I had some extra stuff laying around from the party that we had made and I thought I would make a frame to display the birthday girl's picture in!

"Drink Me"

I didn't want to have to buy necklaces for all the little girls attending the party so I made our own.

Girl Power Purse

Found a inexpensive wooden purse and I took my pieces of colored tissue paper and covered the base and then took a more decorative piece of tissue over that and then decoupaged old Wonder woman comics and vintage pin up paper dolls.

Tea Party centerpieces

Made some teapots and teacups out of cardstock and put some quotes from the movie on them to stick in the teapots with the flowers.

you can "Eat Me" or "Drink Me"

So I've tasked myself with making everything that I can for my daughter's birthdya party. We're having a tea party! Made some tags for favors and food.

In with the old....the very old!

I was using a desk for my sewing table which was fine but I needed my desk! So when we moved I started using my mother's old Sears sewing table but it was awkward. The drawer went down too low so my legs couldn't get under the table so it was just very annoying! :p Well I went to my mothers house a month ago and there was this antique singer sewing machine table. The sewing machine inside STILL WORKS! It's absolutely beautiful. I commented on it and my mom agreed it was nice but she had no place for it. Well I quickly offered up my house. My aunt had bought it and had decided to get rid of it but wanted it to stay with family. Im so happy. I love having something so old....makes you wonder who all has sewn on this and what all has been sewn on it. They just don't make things like they used to......
